slayeroffice - web experiments gone horribly awry

08.23.2004 - Style Sheet Tweak v1.2

Friday afternoon, from Mr. Smith:

Kevin [ 6:10pm ]: sure would be handy if your style sheet tweaker could be dragged
Me [ 6:10pm ]: I am away from my computer right now.

Done.

It can now also be closed by hitting the [esc] key. I will most likely also add the drag functionality to other favelets when time permits and where applicable.

Style Sheet Tweak v1.2

Pleeease make the favelet suite next in line for drag functionality...

:D

You're a champion Steve!

P.S....Maybe it's time slayeroffice got a "Donate via PayPal" button? Just a suggestion.

I've been giving that some consideration for a while now...I think I might try it and see how it goes.

Thanks for all the great work.

FYI

I am currently using the latest version of Firefox 1.0 Preview Release and for some reason the installed bookmarked version of Style Sheet tweak goes all loopy.

The drop down box extends off the screen ( right ) and makes it impossible to use.

This may well be a Firefox issue as they are ironing out bugs.

BTW the example link here works fine, its only when launched from my bookmarks!!

Cheers

Hi John -

What sites are you seeing this on? I've seen what you are describing in the past on sites that have reaaaaaaaally long selectors, like zeldman.com.

If you can provide some links where you're seeing this happen I'll certainly investigate.

Steve, I just uploaded the latest build of Firefox.. here is a list from my dailys and includes my two sites as well..

Stretched across and beyond the full screen width....

http://www.zeldman.com/

http://digital-web.com/

http://cssvault.com/

http://www.wow-factor.com/forums/

Working as it should... and very nicely at that :)

Yep, its all the long selectors causing that. It doesnt make it impossible to use though - the first time I saw this happen I freaked out, but clicking anywhere in the dropdown will activate it, thankfully.

So, it works, its just ugly. Not sure what I would do about it, as I dont want to split up selectors, and I dont want to truncate them.
