02.09.2004 - Symmetric Pattern Generator

At long last Web Paint has a neighbor in the Fun Toys section - the Symmetrical Pattern Generator, an experiment in creating random patterns with DIV elements.

I don't exactly recall what inspired this. Initially my intention was to write a kaleidoscope, but one thing led to another and the next thing you know I've got a cross between that, a Mondrian and a fractal. Any way you look at it, they're symmetric, and they're patterns. And, kind of cool. Here's what a couple look like:

You can also save them as PNGs to the Gallery and use them later to overlay new patterns on, as evidenced above. With loads of settings to tweak their outcome, it's next to impossible to create duplicate patterns. Go on and try to, I dare you.
